American Meltdown

A ‘Millennial Coming-of-Rage’ story about a young woman who loses her job and struggles to pay rent – until she befriends a pickpocket who convinces her that the only way to survive in America is by committing petty crime.

OLIVIA WALKER (Jacki Von Preysing) is a desperate millennial at the end of her rope. She’s been put on a temporary leave from work until she stops qualifying for benefits, she’s recently single, her home has been broken into, and she’s drowning in debt. Then she meets MARI NAVARRO (Nicolette Sweeney), a happy-go-lucky, fiery pickpocket who lives in a van and shirks every societal expectation she can… kickstarting an offbeat friendship that pulls Olivia deeper and deeper into a life of crime.
