Bal-Can-Can is a 2005 Macedonian-Italian joint production film about a deserter who travels throughout the Balkans as a political immigrant in search of his dead mother-in-law who is wrapped in a carpet.
Bal-Can-Can is a dark and absurdist comedy centered around a man who’s searching for a carpet across the entire Balkan underground. Oh, and, that carpet happens to contain his dead mother-in-law. If that sounds fun to you, I suggest that you check this out. The performances are powerful and unique, the score is nice and the story is filled with good humor, but there are some emotional moments as well.
