Writer and star Allison Powell made her feature film directing debut with this low-budget indie charmer, which was filmed on location in Las Cruces, New Mexico with a crew augmented by students from New Mexico State University’s Creative Media Institute digital film program. The name suggests just another teen sex comedy, but this one’s different. It has a woman’s point of view — and it’s disarming. It’s about a smart, naive high school senior who creates a plan to lose her virginity before she graduates, only to learn that not every answer can be found in a book.
