In the near future vampires have come out of the shadows and tried to live among people as a special and peaceful breed. When a series of murders happens, a cop and his vampire colleague are assigned to arrest a dark figure who tears out the throat of the victims and drains their blood off.
Steve Grant (Bokeem Woodbine) is a human detective living in a world where vampires have been trying to integrate themselves into society. As he investigates a series of brutal murders, Grant is paired with Aaron Gray (Adrian Paul), a vampire police officer. During the case, which tests vampire-human relationships, Grant reluctantly befriends Gray, and falls for the glamorous and fanged Lucy Westenra (Bai Ling). Even with the aid of Gray and Lucy, can Grant catch the killer?
