Rafe Marino begins to turn up evidence that leads him to suspect that there was more to his best friend’s death than meets the eye. But getting to the truth proves difficult and dangerous when he becomes entangled with a mysterious femme fatale.

A local boy made good returns to his hometown to investigate the death of his best friend in this made-for-TV thriller. When his friend Tommy dies young, from an unexpected heart attack, detective Rafe Marino (James Thomas) can’t help but suspect foul play. But with no evidence to support him, he must investigate Tommy’s death himself. A trail of mysterious faxes puts Rafe in the path of Laura Clifford (Charisma Carpenter), a wealthy local businesswoman who turns out to have been carrying on an affair with Tommy. Soon Rafe, too, falls under Laura’s spell, though he can’t shake the suspicion that she knows more than she’s letting on. Flirting With Danger premiered February 13, 2006 on the Lifetime cable channel. Carpenter joins Laura Leighton, Dina Meyer and Kristy Swanson in the ranks of leading ladies for whom director Richard Roy has helmed TV thrillers.
