Jesus Shows You the Way to the Highway

CIA Agents Palmer and Gagano are tasked with the mission of destroying a computer virus called “Soviet Union”. They enter the system using VR but the mission turns into a trap.

The year is 2035, and Special Agent Gagano dreams of leaving the CIA to open a business with his wife Malin. Before he can hand in his resignation, however, a strange cyber virus attacks Psychobook, the CIA’s operating system, forcing Gagano to enter cyberspace via virtual reality to combat the threat. Before long, however, the virus starts to reach out into the real world, destabilising the fragile socio-political order for its own ends, and Gagano, trapped in the VR world, must find a way out before it’s too late.

Afrofuturistlik ulmefilm käsitleb globaliseerumise tagajärgi ning kujutab ühe väikese inimese kadumaminemise loo aastast 2035, mil Tallinn on muutunud megalinnaks, mida juhib programm nimega Psychobook. Kui müstiline viirus nimega Nõukogude Liit Psychobooki ründab, peavad CIA agendid Palmer Eldritch (Augustín Mateo) ja D.T. Gagano (Daniel Tadesse) süsteemi sisenema ja viiruse hävitama. Kuid varsti juhtub mõeldamatu, Eldritch põgeneb ja Gagano jääb süsteemi lõksu. Viirus toimetab Gagano alternatiivsesse reaalsusesse nimega Beeta-Etioopia ning seal ei jää Gaganol muud üle, kui ise selles ohtlikus mängus selgeks teha, mis on reaalne ja mis mitte. Või nii ta vähemalt arvab.
