Katie Says Goodbye

A kindhearted seventeen-year-old in the American Southwest turns to prostitution to fulfill her dream of a new life in San Francisco.

Katie (Olivia Cooke) is a waitress in a truck stop diner, yearning for a new life away from the Arizona desert. She lives with her unemployed mother, Tracey (Mireille Enos), but only gets real motherly love and understanding from the diner’s owner, Maybelle (Mary Steenburgen). As the only income provider at home and desperate to fund her move to San Francisco, Katie turns to prostitution. However, when a new romantic interest shows up, things look up for Katie, though unrequited love is only around the corner. Written and directed by Wayne Roberts.
