Nina Takes a Lover

When Ninas husband goes off for a few weeks to work, she meets and starts seeing a photographer. This story is told as an interview by a journalist writing about adultery who is talking with both Nina and the photographer in separate interviews. Through him, we learn much about the couple and their attitudes on adultery.

A journalist (Michael O’Keefe) is working on a piece about infidelity, so he interviews the married Nina (Laura San Giacomo) and her lover, a photographer (Paul Rhys), to find out why someone would risk a serious relationship for a romantic tryst. Convinced her husband was cheating on her, and taking the advice of her best friend (Cristi Conaway), Nina claims to have engaged in the affair out of heartache. But as the writer digs deeper, he realizes the story is more complicated than it seems.
