Payback

A crime drama set in New York’s Brighton Beach about a young stockbroker at a shady Wall Street firm who gets betrayed and sent to prison for six years. When he gets out, his quest for revenge makes him a target of the Russian mob.

Co-written and directed by Joseph Mensch, this action-thriller follows the life of Mike Markovich (Matt Levett) as he recently gets out of prison after serving a six-year sentence. It is revealed that he once worked as a promising stockbroker under the employ of a Wall Street company. But when his superior sends him on a supposed work errand in California, he is caught in the crossfire of mob-related hit jobs, causing his incarceration. Now that he is out and free, he embarks on a journey of tracking down his former bosses at the mob-owned company that set him up in the first place.
