Protector, The

With the region’s last source of freshwater buried under a Native American reservation and evil forces angling for control, a convict fighting for her freedom becomes the unlikely protector of a young boy who may have the power to save it.

Ravaged by water wars, famine, and drought, the West is once again wild. To escape a manslaughter prison sentence and win her freedom, a woman must gain access to the region’s last freshwater aquifer, which is protected by a deadly minefield.
