Richie Bravo, once upon a time a successful pop star, chases after his faded fame in wintry Rimini. Trapped between permanent intoxication and concerts for busloads of tourists, his world starts to collapse when his adult daughter breaks into his life. She demands money from him that he doesn’t have.
Ulrich Seidl directs Rimini, the story of a once-successful pop star living off his fame in the Italian resort city. Richie Bravo (Michael Thomas) used to be famous. Now, he lives off that fame in off-season Rimini, where his senior citizen fans visit at discount vacation prices to see him. He makes a little extra on the side by having sex with those fans. But when his mother dies, Richie must return to Austria. When he gets back to Rimini, his daughter (Tessa Göttlicher) confronts him for abandoning her and demands compensation, for which he turns to blackmailing his fans.
