One day, a thief who stashed the booty from a major robbery in a snowbank in Matsugane runs afoul of Hiraki, who accidentally runs him over, killing the crook. While the thief&#8217;s wife and partner in crime tries to figure out what became of her husband and their ill-gotten gains, Hiraki struggles to hide the fatal accident from his brother.
